I love being a mentor, sharing my knowledge and giving back. I highly recommend it, I always learn something new during each session. I love seeing the confidence of the mentees grow, they always have so much talent but often don鈥檛 see it! I have met some of the other mentors who are incredible local entrepreneurs and accomplished leaders in businesses across the city. It has been a great way to network and a fantastic experience.
I have been a mentor for three years now, having successfully mentored two students and currently mentoring a third. I have mentored both undergraduates and postgraduates, mostly focusing on how to step into the working world after university and beginning a career. I have been able to share the knowledge and experiences that I have gained within industry and help those that I have mentored. This has been incredibly rewarding and allows me to demonstrate my development, and help those still at university.
