Preparing you for your chosen legal profession

We've designed our degrees to ensure you're prepared for the updated Solicitors Qualifying Examination. Our course also allows you to pursue training as a barrister, with our students regularly winning major Bar Scholarships from the Inns of Court.

Unique opportunities for you to provide legal advice and guidance to real people in the Plymouth community.

Led by law students and closely supervised by experienced staff, the Law Clinic provides a hands-on experience. It serves as a valuable platform for you to put theory into practice, while providing a vital service and making a positive contribution to the local community.

You’ll work under the guidance of legal practitioners with real clients making a real difference in the community. You don’t need to take any time out of your studies, and you can gain credit towards your degree, or as a volunteer.

Join the Plymouth Cold Case Unit

The Plymouth Cold Case Unit (PCCU) investigates unsolved missing persons cases. We uncover new evidence which can be used by the police to solve these cases while giving students experience and skills – including investigative, analytical and social – to launch them into rewarding careers.

We are a student-led, expert-guided group with international connections and access to facilities and training at both the ��Ƶ and Locate International.

Applications are open to all foundation and year 1 students in the School of Society and Culture.
