Joelle Booth is an academic Dental Public Health Registrar in the South West deanery and at the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ. Her research interest focuses on engaging underrepresented groups in research with a particular focus on exploring the oral health of individuals impacted by the criminal justice system. Joelle’s research utilises a participatory action research approach to address complex oral health problems.
Qualifications
Joelle graduated from the University of Exeter with a first class degree in Medical Science. She then graduated as a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours at Kings College London and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England by examination. Joelle has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Research Skills and Methods at St Georges University London.
She is currently undertaking a Masters’ degree in Public Health at the University of Exeter.
