I’ve had a varied career in research, science communication and project management. Following a PhD studying butterfly migration, my roles have included working for a start-up developing the technology to use bees in airport security, acting as the Royal Society of Biology’s press officer, and visiting universities around the world with the Nobel Prize Inspiration Initiative. In 2022, I published a popular science book, , which tackles challenging questions about how we set conservation priorities: In the midst of a global extinction, what should we save?
